If this is true, I will be happy as I will then be able to see all the forms of 3D currently available.

Another owner of this TV has told me that the frame-packed 720p/60Hz output from the PS3 does work in 3D, but the 1080p/24Hz output shows the same display problems. I am about to get a PS3 and am hoping that the display issue will not affect the viewing of 3D games on the TV. I can also successfully view YouTube 3D videos and other 3D content with Stereoscopic Player and TriDef software.

I have the PC connected to the TV via an ordinary VGA cable plugged into the RGB PC-in socket on the TV, and this solution works flawlessly. However, I have found a (rather expensive) way around this by playing 3D Blurays via a PC with a suitable NVIDIA graphics card (the rather low-end GT320), a Plextor BD-ROM drive, and PowerDVD Ultra MkII 3D Bluray software.

I am currently trying to find out if LG will be fixing this problem with a firmware update. There does seem to be an issue with the TV when viewing 3D Blurays from a hardware 3D Bluray player in that motion or rippling artefacts are visible which make the TV unwatchable when used in this way. The glasses also let through a lot more light than shutter glasses, although I still like to put the TV into "vivid" mode when watching 3D. In fact the "spot" is more like 1.5 metre or so vertically at this viewing distance, and there is virtually no ghosting over this region. It works extremely well, much better in many ways than the Zalman monitors, mainly because of its size, which results in a much larger "sweet spot" at normal viewing distances (around 2-3 metres). it has an xPol filter on the screen and the eyewear is the same as the RealD cinema glasses. It is the only passive 3D TV available at the moment and works in the same way as the Zalman Trimon monitors, i.e. I have this TV and would be interested to hear other members' experiences of it.
